What a lead list costs
| US leads per month | Apify Google Maps Scraper | Storefinch |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 leads with email lookup | About $5 at Starter rates (the free $5 monthly credit covers about 830 places) | Free plan covers 500 export rows; Pro $19 covers it all |
| 10,000 | About $50 on Starter ($19 plan plus usage), or $35 of usage on the $199 Scale plan | $19 (10,000 rows in two exports; email lookup on up to about 9,900) |
| 25,000 | About $125 at Starter rates, but Starter caps usage at $100 a month, so likely the $199 Scale plan ($87.50 of usage) | $19 (25,000 rows in five exports; email lookup on up to about 9,900) |
Apify figures use its published per-event prices: $3 per 1,000 places plus $2 per 1,000 for contact enrichment on Starter ($3.50 total on Scale), from apify.com and Apify's API, as of the check date. Places without a website aren't charged for enrichment, so real costs can be lower. Storefinch's email lookup uses one call per place, out of Pro's 10,000 calls a month.
Choose Apify Google Maps Scraper if
- You need ratings, review counts, reviews, opening hours, photos or popular times.
- You need businesses outside the US.
- You need named decision-makers, not just company contacts.
- You want today's Google listing, including businesses that opened this week.
- You run large, occasional jobs and prefer paying per place to a subscription.
Choose Storefinch if
- Your agent should get answers in the conversation, not start a job and come back later.
- You want to keep the data: load it into a CRM, resell it in a product, or store it for good.
- You prospect businesses with no website or a dead one (web design, local marketing).
- You want a flat $19/month instead of a bill that grows with every place and add-on.
- You want each website checked before outreach.
Questions
Is Apify's data fresher than Storefinch's?
Yes. Apify scrapes Google Maps at the moment you run it. Storefinch is rebuilt monthly from Overture Maps open data, so a business that opened last week may be missing. In exchange, Storefinch answers instantly and its data carries an open license.
Can I legally keep data scraped from Google Maps?
Apify says scraping publicly available data is generally legal, but that users must consider Google's terms and privacy law, and its terms make users responsible for how they use the data. Google's terms restrict automated access to its services, and the terms for Google's official Places API forbid storing or exporting its content. Storefinch data comes from open datasets whose licenses allow storage and reuse.
Does Storefinch have ratings or reviews?
No. Overture Maps open data doesn't include ratings, reviews or hours, and we don't scrape Google to add them. If you need those fields, Apify is the better tool.
Can I use both?
Yes. One approach: build the list in Storefinch (fast, flat-priced, keepable), then look up a short list of finalists elsewhere for reviews.
How do AI agents connect to each?
Both offer remote MCP servers. With Apify, an agent calls an actor, then polls the run and fetches the dataset. With Storefinch, the agent calls tools like search_places or export_leads and gets results back directly.
